BENIFITS OF RECITING SUREH AL YASEEN
It is reported in one of Hadith that the
Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "I wish if every
person in my Ummah keeps this Surah (Surat Yaseen) in his/her heart.”
Ibn Abbas (r.a) says, "Whoever recites Yaseen in the morning, his work for that entire day
will be made easy and whoever recites in at the end of the day, his tasks till
the next morning will be made easy." (Sunan Daarimi vol.2 pg.549)
Ma'aqal ibn Yassaar (r.a) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wa aalay Wasallam) said, "Yaseen is
the heart of the Qur'aan. nobody who intends the Aakhirat shall recite it
except that Allah will forgive him. Recite it upon your deceased."
(Sunan Abu Dawud) Imaam Haakim has classified this tradition as Saheeh
(authentic); Mustadrak al-Haakim vol.1 pg.565 - see al-Targheeb vol.2
pg.376.
Jund ibn Abdullah (r.z) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam) said, "Whoever recites
Surah Yaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, His sins will be forgiven."
(Muwatta Imaam Maalik). Imaam ibn Hibbaan has classified it as Saheeh - Saheeh
ibn vol.6 pg.312 (see al-Targheeb vol.2 pg.377)
"The Prophet, s.a.w.w, is reported to have
said: “Yaseen is the heart of the Qur’an. The one who recites it solely for Allah’s
Sake, his sins will be forgiven. Read it on behalf of your dead.” (Reported by
At-Tirmidhi)
At the time of
Prophet’s migration, when the Quraish were seeking of Him to attack and kill The
Prophet, the Prophet s.a.w.w gave all His trusts to hazrat Ali a.s asked him to
sleep on His(Prophet’s) bed, went out and put some dust on His hand and on that
recite few ayaats of Surah Yaseen ,and throw that over the Quraish attacker
people eyes, which had temporarily blinded them.
